Roy Price

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Price was named Chief Executive Officer in 2026. He is the first Chief Executive of American Product Co. from outside the Pell family. Under his leadership the Company is introducing Jessie and Pepper Nation, its first new businesses in forty years. Mr. Price previously founded Amazon Studios.

Henry W. Pell

Chairman

Mr. Pell has served as Chairman since 1999. Under his leadership the Company completed the sale of the National Hat Company to its employees and entered a period of careful reflection. In 2026 he oversaw the appointment of Roy Price, the Company’s first Chief Executive Officer from outside the Pell family.

Gordon R. Fisk

Director; Chairman of the Audit Committee

Mr. Fisk has served on the Board since 1979, and has approved every acquisition and divestiture since that date. He is the Company’s longest-serving director. He has not missed a meeting in forty-seven years.

Chairman Emeritus

Mr. Pell served as Chairman from 1984 to 1999, a period in which the Company sold its defense, spirits, and tobacco businesses. Asked to summarize his strategy, he said, "Fewer things." He was the first Chairman to attend Board meetings in a sweater, and continues to do so.

Douglas Pell

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, 1974–1984

Mr. Pell expanded the Company into spirits, home appliances, defense electronics, and new media, on the principle that an American company should make American things. He is also credited with the invention of flavored vodka, which he regarded as his greatest achievement and the Board regarded as a matter best not discussed.

Walter Pell

Chairman and President, 1951–1974

Mr. Pell renamed the Company, acquired Right-O Cigarettes, and installed the sign on the Brooklyn building, all in 1958.
